Meet The Team
Jules Zaccardi
General Coordinator
One word to define Jules is curiosity: he's never afraid to ask a question. He's French of italian descent, born in the US. Jules has a degree in engineering and a very cartesian spirit, and he currently spends his days crunching numbers at Eurostat. What he lives for, though, is getting on stage.
Mireille Nzuzi
Head Coordinator for Speakers
After leaving her successful career in science to become a Community Officer, Mireille has dedicated her life to advocating for social inclusion of young people with migration background in the European society. Encouraging intercultural dialogue and building mutual understanding between new arrivals and the receiving communities. She is now a trainee at The European Commission, DG EAC- B4 Erasmus+ Coordination.
Katherine Poole-Lehnhoff
Speakers Promotion Manager
Just your average Guatemalan, enjoying the small things life has to offer. With a degree in International Relations and Political Science from the University of British Columbia. Currently a trainee at the European Commission in Luxembourg. True advocate of the phrase: "al mal tiempo, buena cara"
Henar Martínez
Marketing Coordinator
¡Hola! I am Henar and I come from Valladolid, Spain. I am working on the Experience Europe project in DG Communication at the European Commission. Besides that, I am also the Communication Coordinator of the Brussels Trainees’ Committee. Regarding my background, I am an Industrial Design Engineer, specialized in Strategic & Graphic Design. A fun fact about me is that I am the perfect stereotype of Spanish person concerning food, as my favourites dishes are Spanish omelette and paella!
Adam Volf
Marketing Coordinator
A native of the west of Ireland, I am a recent graduate of the Polish College of Europe, and Trinity College Dublin. I am currently a trainee in Brussels. I share Jasmin’s appreciation of perfectly ripe avocados.
I have never lost a game of Scrabble to Katharina Kramer.
Jasmin Ahonen
Speakers Coordinator
A rare case of social Finns. Degree in International Political Economy and through some twists and turns ended up as a Blue Book trainee working with Industry and Internal Market at the European Commission. Enjoying the small things in life such as perfectly ripe avocados and solving sudokus in one go.

Having studied French literature and music before, Orlando has now an internship at a press office where he edits press releases covering the vast array of activities happening in the institution. Please don't mention Brexit - he's making the most of his time in Brussels and hopes to find a way of staying on the Continent
Matthew Dykes
Blog Editor
I'm a translator and editor with a degree in French and Spanish. After a few years living in Madrid, Spain, I am now in Luxembourg, where I'm doing a traineeship / trying not to think about Brexit. I'm passionate about helping non-native English speakers get their message across the way they intended it (and learning a thing or two from them on the way).
